Biography

Tompkins Odell, Jr. was born circa 1800, in McNairy, Tennessee, a son of Tompkins Odell who died there after 1830. Tompkins "Adle" is found on the United States Census of 1830, living in McNairy, Tennessee. Note: The head of this household could be either Tompkins Sr. or Jr. [1] Tompkins "Odel" is found on the census of 1840, still living in McNairy. This record refers to Tompkins, Jr. [2]

Tompkins Odell and his second wife, Lucy Brickly [Brickey] are found in the death records of their son, Peter T. Odell, born circa 1846, in Missouri, who died December 14, 1914, in Lean Spur, Woodruff county, Arkansas. [3]

Tompkins' paternal grandfather, Caleb Odell Odell-1891 served as a Lieutenant during the American Revolutionary War and is a DAR Ancestor [4]
