Argina Odom, the daughter of Thomas Odom and Amanda Kelley, was born 12 February 1883 in Missouri. She passed away in Baltimore, Maryland on 11 May 1967 at the age of 84. She was laid to rest in the Hufft Family Cemetery, Eldridge, Leclede County, Missouri.[1][2]
Argina Odom, who was under the age of eighteen, and Clarence Hufft, who was under the age of twenty-one, were married 28 April 1898 at the home of the bride. Their fathers both gave their consent to the marriage. The Marriage License was issued at Lebanon, Leclede County, Missouri.[3]
In the 1900 US Federal Census, the family is living in Eldridge Township, Laclede County, Missouri. The head of famiy is Clarence Huftt born in 1879 age 21 and Argina born in 1884 age 16. Their daughter Cecile D. Huftt was born in 1899 age one. They all list Missouri as their place of birth.[4]
As published in the Springfield Leader and Press, 15 May 1967, Monday, Pg 22, Springfield, Missouri, "Mrs. Hufft died Thursday afternoon in Antlers, Okla., after a short illness. She had been visiting in Antlers. Survivors include two sons, Clarence, Baltimore, with whom she had been living, and B.D., Tulsa: three daughters, Mrs. Calvin Atkins, Houston, Tex., Mrs. J.C. Mitchell, Livermore, Calif., and Mrs. John Blickensderfer, Antlers, and a brother, Paul Odom, Eldridge."[5]
