Carter Oldham was born the 15th of January, 1808 in Anderson County, South Carolina.
Carter Oldham married Louisa Jordan about 1833 in Alabama. No marriage record has been located.
Carter Oldham was a witness to a deed dated the 17th of August, 1834 between Uriah Jordan and Joel Cross.[1]
Carter appears in the 1840 Federal census in Shelby County, Alabama. Carter's household appeared as follows: 1 male under age 5; 1 male age 30 to 39; 1 female under age 5; 1 female age 5 to 9; 1 female age 20 to 29; and 2 slaves.[2]
Louisa's husband Carter Oldham died sometime before October 1844.
