Henry was born in Batavia, New York, the only child of Albert and Grace (Clark) Olmstead. He was named in honor of his uncle (his father's brother) who had died five years earlier.
Shown in the 1900 census with his parents in Batavia. His father is a Coal Dealer and Henry is at college.[1]
In 1906, he married Mary Brendlinger[2]; there were no children. She returned to Philadelphia to live with her parents and never married again.
Henry died in 1907 and is buried near his parents in the Machpelah Cemetery, LeRoy, Genesee County, New York.[3]
