Olof Olsson was born on 23 September 1744 in Knapshögen in Skultuna parish, Västmanlands län, Sweden. He was the son of Olof Olsson and his wife Margreta Nilsdotter. Wtnesses to his christening on September 25, 1744 were Johan Johansson in Solberga, Johan Ericsson in Skiulbro, married Maria Danielsdotter in Solberga and piga Mary Olsdotter.[1]
