Mary Osgood, the daughter of Christopher Osgood and Mary Everatt, was baptized at St. Mary, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England, on 17 March 1633. [1][2] Her mother died soon afterward and was buried in Marlboro 22 April 1633, thirty-seven days after her first and only child was born.[1] She had been married barely a year.[1]
Mary's widowed father married Margaret Fowler 28 July 1633, just over three months after the death of Mary's mother.[1] On 24 March 1634, Christopher and Margaret, with the infant Mary, sailed from Southampton, Hampshire, on the the ship Mary & John bound for Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] Margaret's parents, Philip and Mary Fowler, were on the Mary & John with them.
Mary Osgood married John Lovejoy at Ipswich 1 January 1651.[1][2] They had twelve children, all born in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts.
