Biography

Mary Osgood, the daughter of Christopher Osgood and Mary Everatt, was baptized at St. Mary, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England, on 17 March 1633. ^[1][2] Her mother died soon afterward and was buried in Marlboro 22 April 1633, thirty-seven days after her first and only child was born.^[1] She had been married barely a year.^[1]

Mary's widowed father married Margaret Fowler 28 July 1633, just over three months after the death of Mary's mother.^[1] On 24 March 1634, Christopher and Margaret, with the infant Mary, sailed from Southampton, Hampshire, on the the ship Mary & John bound for Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1] Margaret's parents, Philip and Mary Fowler, were on the Mary & John with them.

Mary Osgood married John Lovejoy at Ipswich 1 January 1651.^[1][2] They had twelve children, all born in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts.

Mary died 15 July 1675 in Andover. ^[3]
