Mary Ann Osmond was born in 1846 in Yeovil, Somerset, England, United Kingdom, daughter of Charles Osmond (1814–1915) and Ann Newson (1813–1893).^{[1] [2]}

Mary married Peter Richard Koellner (born in 1843; son of Johann Andreas (Köllner) Koellner and Margaretha Rosselin (Link) Koellner).^[3] Their children were:
