Margaret Oxendale was christened on 25 Aug 1811 at St Mary's Church in Penwortham, Lancashire. She was the daughter of Robert and Ann Oxendale of Hutton. ^[1]

Margaret married Thomas Sharpless (or Sharples) on 30 Apr 1833 at St Mary's Church in Penwortham, Lancashire. Margaret was of the local parish, Thomas was a bachelor. The witnesses were James Oxendale & Nancy Sharpless. ^[2]

Their daughter Jenny was christened on 9 Feb 1834 at St Mary's Church in Penwortham, Lancashire. Her father's occupation was recorded as husbandman, and the family's address as Hutton. ^[3]

Their son Robert was christened on 30 Aug 1835 at St Andrew's Church in Longton, Lancashire. His father's occupation was recorded as labourer, and the family's address as Hutton. ^[4]
