He married Rhoda J Bird on 1 February 1848, in Floyd, Virginia, United States.[1]
They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters:
- Daniel L Oxley-1854–1917
- Elizabeth R Oxley-1856–1925
He lived in Wythe, Virginia, United States in 1850.[2] and Elizabeth City, Wythe, Virginia, United States in 1860.[3]
In 1880, they lived in Plymouth District, Mercer, West Virginia, United States.[4]
His wife Rhoda died 27 Jan 1881.[5]
In 1882, Bluford married Sarah J. Cook in Summers, West Virginia, United States,[6] and they had 1 child together: James Thomas Oxley-1884–1941.[7]
Bluford died on 24 April 1885, in Athens, Mercer, West Virginia, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Oxley Family Cemetery, Athens, Mercer, West Virginia, United States.[8]
