Biography

Elizabeth Lavinia Palmer[1][2] was born in Aylesford, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada on 1 May 1818.[1][2] She was the daughter of Enoch Lewis Palmer and Margaret Robinson.[1][2] She died in 1874.[3][2]

Elizabeth was born into a large family of 14 children. She was the fourth child of Enoch and Margaret Palmer.

Elizabeth married in Aylesford, Kings, Nova Scotia on 29 Sep 1835[2] to Robert Collins.[2] He was born in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia and worked as a merchant. He moved to Aylesford shortly before his marriage.[2]

Elizabeth died of Typhoid Fever 25 Oct 1874[2] and was buried in the Morse Cemetery, Berwick, Kings, Nova Scotia, where her gravestone states she was in her "58th year". However, she died aged 56 years, 5 months and 24 days.[2] Her husband, Robert, died in Aylesford, 26 Mar 1886.[2] He is buried in the Morse Cemetery, Berwick, Kings, Nova Scotia.[2]
