Note: After his father's death he continued to work on the family farm with his brother Albert in Genoa until the end of his life. In 1846 he and his brothers Albert and Eliel donated an acre of land across the road from the family farmhouse so the Methodists could build a church. Edward was contracted to build the church for $1200.00. He had no children.
