She stated she was there in Canada when Albert (her brother) was born to their parents Hiram and Alzina Pangborn. Amanda was present at her brother's funeral in Adair Co, Missouri. She knew her and Albert's mother Alzina died Aug 1885---1880 Harrison Co., Iowa census Amanda Marsh is listed as a widow so Hiram died in Iowa between 1870 and 1880. Amanda married a 2nd husband James Carpenter 15 Aug 1883 Whatcom, Washington.
