Biography

Carrie was born in 1861.

She is best known as a singing evangelist who toured throughout New England and New York with a small autoharp (zither). She composed the music for the hymns "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go" and "Be Not Afraid."

She was raised in Manchester, New Hampshire where she met and married William E Rounsefell (1857 - 1922), a bookkeeper for a paint and wallpaper firm there.

She died in 1930 in Durham, Maine, while touring.
