Keziah Parry was born in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England.
Kesiah migrated to the U.S, in 1795 with her husband and three children. She applied for transfer of her membership in her Baptist Church in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England to First Baptist in Philadelphia PA. in the fall of that year. First Baptist records show that she was accepted into membership in 10/7/1796. She had her fourth and last child in Philadelphia. Her son wrote in his biography that she died in the yellow fever epidemic which persisted since 1793 "year after year".
Autobiographical Letters by her son Samuel Cornelius Published by O.S. Gulley's (1871) ASIN: B00088ZJE6
Notes
* https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/timeline/9VCX-BNW gives Keziah a death date of 22 Aug 1798. This conflicts with her son's autobiography (written in 1860) and seems to conflict with the First Baptist record cited above which seems to say her membership was terminated by death in 1797.
Where was Keziah born? Someone has added a symbol of Stoke Damerel above, but based in what?
Who were her parents? Familysearch.org cites a John & Elizabeth Parry, but no source has been found. Personal family notes in possession of Cornelius-1961 state her parents' names as Thomas and Elizabeth, but these too are un-sourced.
In March 2021 Cornelius-1961 requested help from the Devon Family History Society and received a response that they could find no records in Devon which would help with the above issues, but promised to review Cornwall records later and search Perry records.
