Nathaniel Parshall was born on October 19, 1843 in Richmond, Wayne, Indiana, United States. His parents were John Parshall and Elizabeth Halfhill. He served in the Civil War. [1]He married Anjanette Gray on December 02, 1867.[2] Together they had 5 children:
He died on April 30, 1926 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, Indiana.[3]
Obituary - Nathaniel Parshall, 82 year old Civil War Veteran and farmer and former resident here, died at his home at the State Soldiers home at Lafayette, Saturday morning, according to word received here by his son, U. L. Parshall.
Mr. Parshall left here about 18 years ago to reside at the State Soldiers home. He served in the Civil War in the 69th Indiana Infantry. He was a member of Sol Meredith post No. 65 and at one time was commander of the post. Mr. Parshall was commander for five years at the post at the Lafayette home to which he had transferred his membership upon leaving Richmond. While residing here Mr. Parshall was an expressman. Funeral services and burial will be held at the home sometime Monday. Mrs. Parshall died in 1916 at the home where she was also residing. Besides the son, he is survived by six grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. Soldiers Home Cemetery, Lafayette, Indiana.
