Biography

Grace was born about 1775, and was probably born in Devon. It is believed that the Grace Parsons baptised on 8 January 1775 in Luffincott, Devon is a match. Her parents would have been John and Mary Parsons.

A marriage is recorded for Grace Parsons in North Tamerton, Cornwall on 23 February 1796 to "Thomas Berible". This is believed to be Thomas Barriball.^[1]

The family name in future generations was known as Barriball. The 1851 Census shows a Thomas Barraball and Grace Barraball in their 70's living in North Tamerton in Cornwall with their niece (a pauper widow) Mary Cornish.
