When James Oscar Pasley was born on September 14, 1914, in Texarkana, Texas, his father, Samuel, was 25 and his mother, Georgia, was 25.[1] His mother died when he was two and his father remarried to Mary Walton in 1920. James married Leona Rowena Fleming (1921-2010) on July 5, 1937, in Bowie, Texas.[2] He died on January 14, 1945, in Bastogne, Luxembourg, Belgium, at the age of 30.[3]
