obituary reads: Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Thompson, 91, died at her house on the Madison road at 2:30 o'clock Sunday morning. She had been in poor health for several years.
She was born in Burlington, March 6, 1849, the daughter of John & Martha Patterson. On July 11, 1866, she was united in marriage to Theodore Thompson, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Spring Grove Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, John Thompson of Gerber, California and Ted Thompson of Burlington; five daughters, Mrs. Arthur Luckenbill of Mediapolis, Mrs. Arthur Gibbs of Ojal, California, Mrs. Lynman Roth of Burlington, Mrs. Charles Myers of Chicago & Mrs. Ed Schuker of Sperry, Indiana; and one brother, Ed Patterson of Chugwater, Wyoming, 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Two daughters, one son, and five brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held in the residence on Madison road, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Mr. Carter of the Spring Grove Methodist church will be officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetary. The body will be removed to the residence from Prugh's chapel at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning.
