Florence Margaret (Patterson) Coogan was born on 20 Nov 1906 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, United States, daughter of Steven Patterson (1879 - 1965) and Annie L. Daniell (~1883 - ).

In 1910, Flo was living in Brooklyn, New York with her parents, brother James and sister, Katherine. ^[1]

in 1920, she was still in Brooklyn, Kings, New York with her parents and siblings.^[2]

In 1930, Florence was still living with her parents in Brooklyn. She was working as a comptometer operator at the stock exchange. ^[3]

Florence (~25) married Edmund George Coogan (~28) (~1904 - ~1992) in Feb 1932 in Brooklyn.^[4]

In 1940, she was living in Queens, New York with her husband and 2 sons. ^[5]

In 1950, Florence was still living in Queens, New York with her husband and sons.^[6]

She lived in Holland Township New Jersey in the 1980s and 1990s. ^[7]

Research notes

One of Florence's ancestors was named Annie McEntee. At the end of her life, she lived on McEntee Rd., Milford, New Jersey. Probably just an incredible coincidence, because the Milford McEntee family emigrated from Ireland to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Annie McEntee was from the New York City area, maybe related to Jerrold McEntee, the painter.Cox-27529 04:10, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
