Biography

Arthur Patterson son of Arthur and Elizabeth Patterson was born in 1766 in North Carolina.[1]

He married Ellender Price[1]on 11 Feb, 1794 at Lincoln County, North Carolina.[2]

He appeared on the census of 27 Sep. 1850 in the home of his son Rufus at Cleveland County, North Carolina.[3]

He wrote his will on 17 Aug. 1855 in Cleveland County, North Carolina he identified: his daughter: Sarah G. Dickson, heirs of Milton Patterson now deceased, S Smith James, his son Eli A. Patterson, Judith Patterson male, daughter Emily Dickson, grandson Emanuel A. Patterson, son Rufus U. Patterson, J. M. Patterson, R or P U. Patterson.[4]

Arthur died on 3 June 1856 and was buried at Old Shiloh Presbyterian Cemetery, Grover, Cleveland County, North Carolina. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[1]
