Biography
Moses Payne lived in Appalachia, in Kentucky.

Moses was born in 1839. He is the son of William Payne and Ann Thomas.
He married Martha June Carroll in 1861 in Rockcastle Co, KY.[1]
He served in the Civil War. [2]
They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 3 daughters. He lived in Bogard Township, Daviess, Indiana, United States for about 20 years and Lapeer, Lapeer, Michigan, United States for about 10 years.
He had two other wives but there were no documented children from those marriages.
He died on 20 October 1924, at the age of 84. (Most likely in Michigan where he was last living.)
