Frederick was born in 1854. Frederick is the child of Henry Payton and Jane Jones. [1]
Frederick was the eldest child of Henry PAyton and his wife Jane (nee Jones) of Cheltenham England.
In the 1871 census Frederick is living in Cheltenham in the house of Isaac Soloman a pawnbroker and working as one of his assitants.
He married Elizabeth Eliza Wright 16th August 1882 at St Peters, Regent Square. His occupation is given as jewller son of Henry Payton Tailor. The marriage is witnessed by Lucy Mary Vicherill? and Thomas Wright.
I cannot find the family in the 1891 census, the address given on the childrens school records around this time is 37 Hastings road, which is the address of Elizabeths parents Thomas & Elizabeth Wright, but the family do not appear with them in the census.
The information from the children's baptisms is as follows

By the 1901 census Elizabeth is a widow but I cannot find a death registration for Frederick. Did he die abroad? or is his name miss spelt on the registration making it hard to find?
There is a possible remarriage for Elizabeth in 1902 to Henry Morris and a death in 1806 of Elizabeth Eliza Morris aged 47 in the Pancras registration district.
On the 1st March 1907 the 3 younger children, Albert, Dorothy and May set sail from Liverpool on the 'Zreple Screw Turama Stanmer Virginian' headed for Halifax, Canada. They were aged just 23, 18 and 16 respectivley.
