Biography

P. L. Peacher

El Reno-Services for P. L. Peacher, 70-year-old retired railroad man, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian church, with burial in the El Reno cemetery directed by the Wilson funeral home.

Peacher died Saturday night in an Oklahoma City rest home. He and his wife, Mrs. Rose Peacher, made their home as 1028 N Shartel in Oklahoma City. They moved to Oklahoma City from El Reno 3 1/2 years ago.

Peacher was born Peacher Mills, Tenn. in 1884. He moved to El Reno from Chicago and was a telegrapher with the Rock Island railroad for 38 years until his retirement six years ago. He was a member of the Elks lodge and the First Christian church here.

In addition to his wife, Peacher is survived by two sons, Dr. Kenneth Peacher, San Marcos, Texas, and Jimmy Peacher, Denver Colo.; four grandsons, three brothers and a sister.
