On 23 February 1921 she married Gavin George Wallace, at St Paul's pro-Cathedral in Wellington.

Marjorie lived at her Hauraki Street home in Karori with her husband. Unfortunately she was ill for the last years of her life and she passed away on 15 December 1937, at the age of 46.[6][7]
She was cremated in Wellington the next day.
