Biography

Robert was born about 1724 in Maryland or Virginia. He was the son of Pierson-1463 and Ann Brecon. He passed away in 1808 in Orange County, Virginia. [1]

He married Margaret "Peggy" (last name unknown), probably about 1760 in Virginia. [2] It is believed that Robert and Margaret had the following children:

  1. John Pearson was born about 1760 in Virginia.
  2. Mary Ann "Molly" Pearson was born about 1763 in Virginia.
  3. Margaret Peggy Pearson was born about 1765 in Virginia.[3]
  4. Elizabeth Betsy Pearson was born about 1777 in Virginia.
  5. Tabitha Pearson was born about 1778 in Virginia.[4]
  6. Frances Fanny Pearson was born about 1781 in Virginia.[5]

Robert appeared on the 1782 census in Orange County, Virginia with 8 dependents.[6]

Probate for the Estate of Robert Pearson was held on 23 Jan 1809 in Orange County, Virginia.[7]

A court hearing in Sept 1814 indicated that the executor for the estate of Robert Pearson owed John Franklin (his son-in-law, husband of Mary Ann) 5 pounds, 9 shillings.[8]
