Biography

John was born on 1 July 1800 at Thorp Arch, near Wetherby, Yorkshire. He was the third child and first son of John Peers and Martha Dodd who had married in 1797. John was the third of at least eleven children.

He was baptised at Thorp Arch on 29 July 1800, probably by his father who was the clergyman at Thorp Arch.

John died an infant and was buried on 6 October 1800 at Thorp Arch. The burial records described him as aged 14 weeks and having died as a result of "decline".
