Biography

Charles Pelton, son of Jonathan and Amy (Goodrich) Pelton, was born on 20 July 1819 at Portland, Middlesex County, Connecticut.[1]

He married Sarah "Sally" Goodrich, his third cousin and daughter of Anson and Eunice (Andrews) Goodrich, on 14 Feb. 1843 in Salem, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.[1][2]

He was a farmer when he and Sarah appeared on the census of 6 Aug. 1860 at Salem, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.[3] The family lived in Salem, Wayne County, Pennsylvania in 1890.[1]

Charles died on 7 June 1896 probably in Wayne County, Pennsylvania and was buried at Hamlin Cemetery, Wayne County, Pennsylvania. His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with Sarah.[4]
