Biography
Daughter of James and Sarah Pemberton of Boston. James Pemberton came from England to Newberry, Massachusetts in 1646. His name appears in a list of names appended to the New England Merchants' memorial to the London Board of Trade. He and his wife Sarah were founding members of the old South Church of Boston. They had eight children.
Elizabeth Pemberton Ellis had eleven children.
She is buried in the Old Granary Burial Ground.
