Herman's oldest child was born in 1910. His second wife Betty was also born in 1910.

His parents are Amos and Sarah Emeline Hale Pendergrass.
Uncle Herman and Aunt Betty had six children of whom four (at last count) were still alive. He and first wife had eight children most of whom were older than Betty when he married her.
From everything I've heard I wish I could have known Uncle Herman. He has been described to me as a wonderful man.
