Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1828. Her family of origin is currently unknown.

Elizabeth married twice. First, in 1844, to Robinson SMILEY. ^[1] Together they were the parents of three children. They were:

1. John SMILEY
2. Francis SMILEY ^[2]
3. Sarah SMILEY

Robinson passed away in 1849.

In 1850, she can be found living in Carroll County with her three children as listed in the U.S. Census of that year. ^[3]

Secondly, (as Elizabeth Smiley) in 1856, she married Robert Scott IRWIN. ^{[4] [5]}

Together they were the parents of several children.

They made their home in Jackson Township, Clinton County, where they can be found in the 1860 US Census. ^[6]

Elizabeth passed away in 1878 and was buried in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort. ^[7]
