She was born on September 30, 1922 in Fiddlers Green, Pennsylvania, where she resided until she moved to Warren, MI in 1948. On November 30, 1940 in Cresson, PA, she was united in marriage to Gordon Gordie Francis Wyland. Mr. Wyland preceded his wife in death April 2, 1996. Mrs. Wyland was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church of Warren, enjoyed bowling, card parties, keeping a journal and making frequent entries, dancing, and served as vice-president of the Social Club. She traveled to every state in the union except Hawaii. Enjoying life to the fullest, she took loving care of her family, and will be remembered for her wonderful and fun collection of penguins. She is survived by a son, Will (Frances Franni) Wyland of Carmen, Idaho, a daughter Connie (Jack) Nichols of Harrison Twp, her canine companion Little Dog, eight grandchildren; Robert and John Wyland, Angie Dowton, Steve Gratzer, David, Tracie and Frank Nichols, and Sheila Bonner, as well as nineteen great grandchildren; Matthew and Nicholas Wyland, Whitney, Ashtyn and Vance Dowton, W. McEwen Gratzer, Jeffrey, Michael, Jacki, Emily, Brendan, Will, and Hope Nichols, Zacch, Noah, and Mackenzie Burns and Kendra, Sean and Alex Bonner. She was preceded in death by her parents; David and Elsie Mae Plummer Penrod, twelve brothers and sisters, and a grandson Dennis Wyland. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 11:00a.m. in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mt. Clemens, with Deacon Don Junak of St. Louis Catholic Church, Clinton Twp, MI officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 2:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Family suggest contributions to Hospice of Henry Ford - St. Joseph Team, 16931 - 19 Mile Rd.
