Henry was born on the 18 September 1809 in the Town of Dulverton, Dulverton Parish, West Somerset, (near the border with Devon) England[1]. He was the son of George Peppin and Maria Hall. Henry Peppin, together with his wife, Charlotte, and their seven children, migrated to Australia around 1851 and settled at "Borath Run", Westernport District, (near present-day Mansfield), Victoria. Henry passed away in 1895 in the Town of Mansfield, Shire of Mansfield, in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, Victoria, Australian Colonies.
