Biography

John Perceval MP is Notable.

Born at Pall Mall on 29 January 1738 John Perceval was the eldest son of John Perceval, Earl of Egmont and his wife, Lady Catherine Cecil. ^{[1] [2]}He was educated at Eton and King's College, Cambridge. ^{[1] [2]}

John was returned to Parliament for the only time as MP for Bridgwater, sitting from 5 May 1762 until 14 March 1769. ^[1]

On 4 June 1765 at St Martin in the Fields he married Isabella Powlett, ^[3]daughter of Nassau Paulett or Powlett and his wife, Isabella Tufton^{[1] [2]} who bore him a son and a daughter. ^[1] However baptismal records show that there were two sons, John and Nassau and a daughter, Isabella.

He passed away on 25 February 1822. ^{[1] [2]}
