Biography

Eula (Perry) Honea was born in Texas..

Eula Perry was born on July 24, 1890 in Texas. Her father was James Marion Perry and her mother Cora Martin. [1]

Eula spent at least part of her childhood in Ellis County, Texas, where she attended school. [1] During the 1910 census, she was not living at home with her family. She must have been in Johnson County, Texas, as she married Joseph Eggleston Honea on November 29, 1910. [2] Her son Louis Joseph was born in 1911, daughter Pauline Geneva in 1915, and daughter Ethel Valentine in 1917. [3]

Sometime after her marriage, the family moved to Magnolia Parks, a suburb of Houston City in Harris County, Texas. They lived on Avenue F. At the time they lived in the community, it was a diverse neighborhood, as many Mexicans fleeing the Mexican Revolution began to settle there. [3]

In 1922, she had another son, James Marion Honea. She now lived at 6801 Sherman Street in Houston, Harris County, Texas. [4]

Eula died on January 9, 1941 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. [5] She was buried at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas. [6]
