Philip Perry 1828-1914 Born and baptised Philippe Peree on December 7, 1828, Saint Ouen, Jersey, Channel Isles, he was the first-born son of Philippe Perree (1801–c.1875) and Nancy Vibert (1804 -1904); the third child born of eleven children.
Philip Perry, aged 28 years, arrived in Sydney, Australia as an Unassisted Passenger on 28 November 1857, a Crew member, Second Mate, on the steamer ‘Comet’.
On 16 June 1859 in St. Stephens Church, North Brisbane, Moreton Bay, New South Wales, Philip Perry married Mary Egan, an Irish lass from County Clare. (Note that the Colony of Queensland was approved on 6 June 1859 and formally separated from New South Wales on 10 December 1859.)
Philip and Mary continued the tradition of large families with nine children born 1860 to 1873.
Philip continued in the occupation of Seaman.
