Biography
Bengta was born in Ivetofta parish 11 April 1850 to Per Thomasson in Froeryd and his wife Hanna Persdotter.[1] Since the common folk in Sweden were still using patronymics as last names at this time, her full name was Bengta Persdotter.
Bengta Persdotter married Per Gisselsson from Råby 1 December 1871. The document for the banns is signed by Per Gisselsson himself and Bengta's father, Per Thomasson, who signed his name as Pehr Skomakare (he was evidently a shoemaker).[2]
Pehr Giselsson and Bengta Persdotter lived in Råby, Ivetofta parish.[3][4]
Bengta was widowed in 1920. At this time her name has been "modernized" to Bengta Persson.[5]
In the next record she is entered with Giselsson as a married name. Bengta died in Råby 14 May 1936.[6]
