Lars was born in Söderala parish 9 March 1787 to Per Persson in Östansjö and his wife Karin Olofsdotter.[1]
Widow Kerstin Svensdotter in Kinsta married Lars Persson 18 May 1810.[2][3] They had at least five children.[4] When Gölin, the daughter from Kerstin's first marriage, married in 1828 her husband took over as head of household.[5][6]
Cherstin Svensdotter and Lars Persson with two of their children left for America 4 May 1846 in a group of followers of Erik Jansson.[7][8]
Lars and Kerstin arrived to New York on board the "Charlotte" 15 September 1846.[9]
