Note:
Albert Richard Peterson was born January 30, 1908, in Chicago, Illinois. He
was the son of (John) Albert L. Peterson and Laura E. Tellgren. He had a
brother Herbert, and a sister, Mildred. Albert attended Morris Grade School
and Austin High School. He lived in the same neighborhood as Maude Margaret
Black, who he married. Albert was in the National Guard, stationed at Ft.
Sheridan in 1927 and Camp McCoy in 1928. Occupations included working as a
security guard, house painter, and working in an insurance office Then he
followed in his grandfather's footsteps and became a Chicago fireman.
Albert and Maude first lived together on Lockwood & Laramie Avenues, and then
moved to 947 Laramie Avenue where they started a family. In 1944 they bought
acottage in Fox Lake, Illinois, on Lake Shore Drive, and the family spent many
happy summers there. Albert died on September 17, 1974, at the age of 66, and
is buried in Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL
