Ralph Wilton Peterson was the son of Ralph Allen Peterson and Daphne Coulter.
“ PETERSON (nee Daphne Coulter).--On the 21st February, at Osmond-place, Fullarton Estate, to MR. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson--a son.”[1]
Ralph Peterson started as a cadet- journalist in 1935 for the Adelaide Advertiser aged 14. He took part in the 5AD radio serial "Yes, What?" where he played schoolboy Bottomley until 1941.
He then enlisted in the army during World War II. After the war he wrote various books and scripts, including the scripts for "My Name's McGooley, What's yours?".

He married the actress Betty Lucas and they had one child, Joel Wilton Peterson, in 1954.

Peterson, Carr avenue, Frew- ville, South Australia.”[2]
