Biography

"Dame Christian Saltonstall", was the daughter of Sir John Pettus, MP and Bridget Curtis. She was baptized on 12 Dec 1586 at St Simon and St Jude, Norwich (FreeReg).

She was named in her brother Thomas' will in 1618.^[1]

Marriage

Christian married Sir Peter Saltonstall (Saltingstall), Knt. of Barkway, Hertfordshire.^[1] He was the son of Sir Richard Saltonstall of London & South Okeden, Essex and Susan, sister of Sir Gabriel Poyntz.^[2] They are the parents of:
