Clara Catharine Phillippy was born on 7 February 1859 in Pennsylvania, United States, daughter of Isaac Phillipy and Catharine B. Shank.[1]

In the 1870 census Clara (age 12) was in Antrim Township, Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States.[3]

In the 1880 census Clara (age 22), Keeping House, was the wife of Benj. F. Morgal in Antrim Township, Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States.[4]

In the 1900 census Clara (age 42) was the widowed head of household in Antrim Township, Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States.[5]

Clara's daughter Bertha May Morgal married J. Calvin Unger on 31 December 1901 in Shady Grove, Antrim Township, Franklin, Pennsylvania, United States.[6]

Clara was mentioned in the obituary of her father Isaac Phillipy on 24 September 1907 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States.[7]
