Martha Ann Phillips was born on 13 Apr 1821 in Nashville, Washington, Illinois to Col. John Phillips and Sarah Wittenberg. She married Capt. George Franklin Lowe on 14 Feb 1839 in Nashville, Illinois. Children: John F, James Henry, Sarah Emma, Nancy Ellen, Martha Ann, Lorra C, Lucy Mary, Edmund F, Adolphus G, Albert, Anna, Ada, George Frederick, Francis Oliver Lowe, Frank Dawson, Edmund, Charles Edwin. She died on 10 Sep 1885 in Kewanee, Henry, Illinois.
