Richard S. Phillips is presumed to have been the son of Richard Phillips and his wife, Nancy. He was born around 1823. His wife's name was Nancy. Their first child was named Gabriel. He was born in early 1850.
On the 1850 Slave Schedules, Richard has enslaved one 55 year old woman.[1]
