OBIT: Pocahontas Times -- NOV 17, 1988

Norman Wilson Phillips, 74, of Minneapolis, MN, died Thursday, November 10, 1988 at his home of a heart attack. He was retired, having worked as an office staff member at a Veterans Administration Hospital following his retirement from the army Transportation Corps. Born at Huntersville January 25, 1914, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Effie Conner Phillips. He was married in 1939 to Virginia Flesher, who was a teacher in Marlinton High School. Surviving him are his wife and one daughter, Leah Ann Carr, of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs Paul (anna) Gladwell of Marlinton. Services and burial with military honors were held at Fort Snelling, MN on Monday.
