On 30 March 1851 the Philp family lived in Duke St, Padstow, Cornwall, England.[1] Stephen Philp (49) Coast Guard Officer & Jane Philp (45) with children; William Henry Philp (28) Sailor, Stephen Philp (16), Eliza Eleen Philp (10) & Mary Ann Philp (6)
On 7 April 1861 the Philp family were living in St Columb, Padstow, Cornwall, England. Stephen Philp (61), boatman & wife Jane (55) with daughter Mary Ann Philp (17). They were next door to Daugher-in-law, Eliza (Young) Philp with sons Richard T, William T, John & Stephen Philp. [2]
James Thomas Crothers married Mary Philp on 18 May 1862 in Illogan, Cornwall, England. [3][4]
She passed away in 1863, a few months after son Thomas' birth. [5] She was buried at the St. Illogan Parish Churchyard. [6]
