Biography
James Lockhart Pineo was born at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia in 1777. He was the son of William Pineo and Phebe Bentley. James married Grace Crane about 1796. They had the following children:
- Jonathan Aldon Pineo
- Robert H. Pineo
- Rachel Pineo, b. abt 1808 at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia; d. 16 Dec 1868 at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, aged 60, single; death due to fever, reported by Wm. P. Lyons[1]
- Matilda Ann Pineo, b. abt 1813 at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia; d. 29 Dec 1868 at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, aged 55, widow; death due to typhoid pneumonia, reported by Wm. P. Lyons[2]
James Lockhart Pineo passed away at Waterville, Nova Scotia in 1841.
