He married Margaret Hand in Middlesbrough in 1928. [2]

He passed away in 1980 [3]

1939 Register: Valley Road, Middlesbrough. Occupation, Ship's Red? Leader (Heavy Work). Also volunteer A.R.P. (Air Raid Warded) Smiths Dock Co. [4]

Research Notes Death registration gives date of birth as 23 March 1903, as does 1939 Rregister, so marked original dob as uncertain.
