There is another Younger Pitts listed in the 1840 & 1850 census in King and Queen Co. VA males -,-,2,-,1,0,-,1,-,-,-,-,-, females -,-,1,2,-,1,- So maybe there are two different Younger Pitts in Virginia.

Possible connections

1. A Younger Pitts was also mentioned as a Baptist Minister in 1775 in Old Colonial Caroline Co., Virginia.

2. Smith Bible Record: I do not have an image of the original of the Smith Family bible, only a transcription from the DAR as follows. Bible of the Smiths of Mecklenburg County, Virginia brough by descendants to Anson County, North Carolina and now (1932) in possession of Ola Keelyn burgess, Ansonville, North Carolina. These were the ancestors of Lula Volmer who wrote the photo-play "Sun Up". George Smith came to Anson County, North Carolina to run a tannery for Joseph F. Dunlap and brought with him this Bible.

William Smith, son of Thomas Smith, born May 9th 1749, died May 5th,1825. Married Ann Simmons, daughter of Samuel Simmons, born April 8th,1758 and died February 12, 1819.

John Smith son of Wm and Ann Born (month and date torn off) 1787. John married December 29th, 1812 Celia Andrews, daughter of George Andrews. George Andrews born August 6, (year torn out) died September 13th, 1821.

George Andrews married Mary Pitts, died May 22, 1824. Mary Pitts was daughter of Pittman Pitts, born May 13, (year gone) and Pittman Pitts was son of Younger Pitts (dates gone).
