Biography

Captain Ichabod, b. 1663 of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; moved to Berwick , Maine after 1700. The council of New Hampshire met at Portsmouth, 15 Oct 1697, and voted to send him to New York, "to congratulate the arrival of my Lord Bellamont," for which he was paid. He served as a councillor of Maine for serval years and as a judge of the court of common pleas. He m. 5 Jan 1692/3, Mary Jose (d. 16 Nov 1715), daughter of Christopher Jose of Portsmouth. Mary remarried to a Mr. Brown after her husband's death. They had four children: Samuel, Colonel Ichabod, Mary, Olive. ^[1] Ichabod Plaisted was born in 1663 in Berwick,York,Me. His parents were Roger Plaisted and Olive Coleman. He married Mary Jose on January 05, 1692 Together they had 3 children:

2. Samuel Plaisted
3. Mary Plaisted

He died on November 16, 1715
