Sarah daughter of Robert Poage and Elizabeth Preston, was born about 1723 in Ireland, and immigrated with her family to Philadelphia about 1739. [1][2]
Her father, Robert Poage, appeared at Orange court, 22 May 1740, to "prove his importation," with the view of taking up public lands. The referenced book shows the importation date as 26 June 1740 but the actual document shows the date as 22 May. [3]
